Well then, it's time to look into Europe. The live music mecca of the world has substantial government arts funding, attentive crowds, and incredible venues with lodging and dinner included in nearly every show. I've toured on six continents, and Europe takes the cake for high earnings ($$$), strong crowds, and venue hospitality.
Even if you're a new up-and-coming act with little to no following in your home markets, you can still have rewarding, profitable tours in the EU. If you have a great video/single, solid live show and you're tired of releasing music to an unreceptive, unresponsive audience, then Europe is a market worth pursuing. No bullshit.
It's not just you who feels this way. I began cutting my teeth in the US to sparse crowds with low attention spans. My songs were there. My live show was there. DIY touring in North America just wasn't providing the launchpad I needed to move things to the next level.
FACT: the competition in North America, Australia and the UK is as fierce as it gets. Everyone and their mother is in two bands and two side projects. It's over-saturated. You need to go where there is A) space in the market and B) appreciative crowds. That territory is mainland Europe.
With the DIY Euro Touring Master Course, I show you how I booked shows to build my following in Europe, which has blossomed into a very healthy, sustainable touring career. My European fans have been among the most loyal. They invest seriously in concert tickets and at the merch table. These Euro tours have helped me build up my profile to get on bigger support tours in Germany, Switzerland and the USA.
The truth is, your home city, state or country may not be the right audience for your music. Your style might be best received in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Belgium or Norway.
This course is designed to help you find that audience.
-Enter DIY European Touring.-
Europe is simply a more supportive place for arts and culture.
And as you’ll soon see, it's actually possible to get over there and begin playing shows without a booking agent or a record label.
The key is knowing how to approach the booking and promoting process with professionalism so you catch the eyes and ears of talent buyers (i.e. bookers). I looked high and low for a course like this when I was starting out, but it didn't exist. I literally spent years building The DIY Euro Touring Master Course. It is designed to save you hundreds of hours of trial and error when putting together a European tour. If you've got a strong work ethic and good songs, then I guarantee this course will help launch your project in the EU.
